The Grupo de Puebla welcomes the appointment of economist and former minister Andrés Arauz as a candidate for the Presidency of Ecuador in the upcoming election.
Arauz has a broad knowledge of the country’s fiscal and economic reality, a respectable academic background and has been one of the managers of the profound project of advanced change in Ecuador by former President Rafael Correa who, honoring his permanent trust in the new Ecuadorian generations, has accepted to accompany him as his Vice-President.
We call once again on the authorities of the executive and judicial branches of government not to hinder the free expression of the people of Ecuador on the various alternatives that will be under consideration in the forthcoming presidential election.
